Mixed Media Technique with Infusions – experimental video

Hi everyone! Today’s post is not about the card, it’s about the video. This is a treat from my partner. He wanted to record me while creating this card in a different way than usual and he did a beautiful video editing with a lovely piece of music. I just added few pictures and some more music at the end but he really did the hard work. I’ve already watched it many times and I love it… 🙂 Now it’s your turn, enjoy it!

Le apetecía filmarme mientras creaba la tarjeta de una forma distinta a la habitual y ha hecho un montaje precioso con una música muy bonita. Yo sólo he añadido unas fotos al final y algo más de música, pero él ha hecho lo más difícil. Yo ya lo he visto unas cuantas veces y me encanta… 🙂 Ahora es vuestro turno, disfrutadlo!

Release July 2018 – PaperArtsy and scrapcosy – Tea Time!

Hi everyone! Today is a big day! My new release of stamps and stencils is here! This is the collection of stamps that has always been in my mind to create: 100% tea related! ESC03 and PS051 were already a hint (tea import / map related). You can tell tea has a place in my heart when you read my blog header ends like “… all accompanied by a cup of tea”. I can’t picture a better crafting time than spending it with stamps, inks, tools, inspiration and a cup of tea with a warm teapot by my side to keep the taste entertained while my hands and my mind are working on what I love. And a scone with strawberry preserve and butter (even better with clotted cream, if I’m lucky to find it) will be also welcome to the crafty party. So let’s the party begin!

Hola a todos! Hoy es un gran día! Mis nuevos sellos y estenciles están aquí! Esta es la colección que siempre había querido crear: 100% relacionada con el mundo del té! Los que me conocéis sabéis que té ocupa un rincón especial para mí. Así que sólo era cuestión de tiempo que esta colección se materializara. El sello ESC03 y el estencil a juego PS051 de mi primera colección ya eran una pequeña pista hacia esta temática (uno relacionado con mapas de navegación y el otro relacionado con la importación del té). Si os fijáis en la cabecera de mi blog (que acaba así “… all accompanied by a cup of tea” / “… todo acompañado con una taza de té), el té siempre ha estado ahí. Una tarde es perfecta para mí cuando estoy creando en mi mesa, rodeada de tintas, papeles, inspiración y una taza de té (si además nos acompañan un par de scones y mermelada de fresa, la tarde es todavía mejor). Pues sin mas dilación, que empiece la fiesta!

New Release PaperArtsy designed by scrapcosy – Feb 2017

Hi everyone! Tonight is a super special night for me. My new stamps and stencils designed for PaperArtsy are being released! In this post I’ll show you all the products in the release, a little bit of history on how these came to life, few samples that my team (Lynne Moncrieff and Jennie Atkinson, great artistic women!) have done for the release as well as my own samples with step-outs and videos. So grab a cup of tea or maybe some popcorn, and enjoy the party!

Book of Samples and last Christmas Market

Hi everyone! On Tuesday 29/11 I had the chance to show the crafty things that I create at a Christmas Market stall I organised at my office (5% of the sales went to charity), and I’m super happy with the experience and the feedback I got from all the people, so I just wanted to share this with you, for all who missed it, so you can have an idea of what happened, what the people saw (including a video of my Book of samples) and also in case you want to organise a stall yourself, I’ll add my checklist of things to be done ahead, during and after and what can be improved for the next time.

El martes 29/11 tuve la oportunidad de mostrar las cosas artesanas que hago en un puestecito navideño que organicé en mi oficina (el 5% de las ventas fueron a una ONG) y estoy súper contenta con la experiencia y el feedback que tuve de toda la gente, así que quería compartirlo con vosotros, para todos los que no pudieron venir, para que podáis ver qué pasó, qué vio la gente (incluido un vídeo con mi book) y también por si queréis algún día montar un puestecito vosotros os añado mi lista de cosas, a hacer antes, durante y después y qué se puede mejorar para la próxima vez.

Bueno, en realidad va de enseñaros los distintos usos que le podéis dar a la nueva pintura Metallic Gilding Polish de Cosmic Shimmer / Creative Expressions, con la que se pueden transformar un montón de materiales para que tengan un aspecto de oro, cobre o del metal que elijas. Brusho vs Infusions

Hi everyone! This weekend I went to Crafting at Ally Pally fair, a show devoted to crafts (scrapbooking, stamping, etc.) in London which happened at the same time as the other craft shows Version Scrap in Paris and Handmade Festival in Barcelona. In the show I had the chance to try (and buy) the new PaperArtsy product Infusions in on of the Make and takes and I also had the chance to buy a set of the Colourcraft product Brusho, which I wanted to buy since I tried them on another Make and take in the previous show. These are very similar products: both are used for colouring, crystal based reacting with water but they have different components. In today’s video I compare both and I use 2 different techniques on them so you can compare the outcome and decide which one is better for you. I love both! But maybe clean & simple lovers will prefer Brusho whereas vintage/distress lovers will prefer Infusions. What do you think? 🙂 Enjoy!

Este fin de semana fui a la feria de manualidades Crafting at Ally Pally en Londres, que sucedía a la vez que las otras dos ferias de scrap: Version Scrap, en París y Handmade Festival, en Barcelona. En la feria tuve la oportunidad de probar (y comprar) el nuevo producto Infusions de PaperArtsy en uno de los talleres Make and take y de comprar un set de Brusho, de Colourcraft, un producto que ya estaba en el mercado desde hacía un par de años y que probé en la feria anterior. Son productos muy similares: sirven para colorear y se basan en cristales que reaccionan con agua pero tienen distintos componentes. En el vídeo de hoy hago una comparativa de los dos y los uso en dos técnicas diferentes para que podáis ver los resultados de ambas y decidir cuál os gusta más. A mi me encantan los dos! Quizás las amantes del clean & simple se decanten más por los Brusho, mientras que las de vintage/distress prefieran los Infusions 🙂 Espero que os guste!
