It’s been a while since I wanted to try a technique consisting of painting somehow the embossed side of a cold embossed paper (using an embossing folder). When I discovered this paint at crafting at Ally Pally last April and after using it for the first time, how well it gets extended with the sponge applicator, I decided that THIS was the product to use for this technique.

In order to see a contrast I needed an intense and impacting background, so after working with Infusions and Brusho a few times, I decided that I would use these 2 products.

By way of summary, I painted a sketch piece of paper with a handmade glaze (a mix between matt modpodge and water, that I explain how to create on this other post’s video) and I applied some Infusions Royal Blood and Brusho Cobalt Blue.

After that I did a cold embossing using an embossing folder by Dovecraft (Floral Muse) and I applied the Metallic Gilding Polish Paint – chocolate bronze on top.

Using that same metallic paint I stamped the sentiment Celebrate and I assembled the card on top of a 300gsm ivory cardstock.

CELEBRATE CON INFUSIONS Y BRUSHO

Hacía mucho tiempo que quería probar de pintar de alguna forma la parte en relieve de un embossing en frío. Cuando descubrí esta pintura en la feria de crafting at Ally Pally el pasado abril y al usarla por primera vez, al ver cómo se extiende con el aplicador de esponja, decidí que este era el producto que iba a usar para esa técnica.

Para contrastar, quería tener un fondo impactante e intenso, así que tras trabajar con brusho e Infusions un par de veces, decidí que estos serían los dos productos que probaría.

A modo resumen, lo que hice fue pintar un papel de esbozo con una glaze (una mezcla de modpodge mate y agua), “sazonar” con Infusions Royal Blood y Brusho Cobalt Blue y reaplicar la glaze encima.

A continuación hice un embossing en frío utilizando una plantilla de Dovecraft (Floral Muse) y pinté por encima con la Pintura metálica Metallic Gilding Polish Paint – chocolate bronze.

Usando la misma pintura estampé la palabra Celebrate y monté la tarjeta sobre una base de cartulina de 300gsm.
