Hi everyone, I’m very excited to show you today’s post for two reasons: (1) this is the first time that I take part on a challenge, this one is organised by PaperArtsy and the theme is Patterns and (2) in today’s video I’ll use a new song (A children’s game true) that my friend Albert Andreu has created for me, specially for my videos (he is a star! What an artist!) 🙂

Me hace mucha ilusión compartir con vosotros el post de hoy por dos motivos (1) este es el primer reto en el que participo y está organizado por PaperArtsy, el tema son los patterns (estampados?) y (2) estreno canción en el vídeo de hoy (A children’s game true) que mi amigo Albert Andreu ha creado especialmente para mí, para que pueda usarla en mis vídeos (es un crack! Un pedazo de músico!) 🙂

PaperArtsy organises challenges on a fortnight basis and when I saw the current one which is about Patterns when Darcy mentions about patterns being even in Metal plates, I just remembered that I had a card that would match this challenge 100%. I love patterns, I have them in stamps, stencils, fabric, papers and of course, in embossing folders, which is what I’ll be using for this card.

Using just an embossing folder may seem boring in comparison with many other options available, but the result of applying this technique (inking + embossing + inking) is striking. It seems that the paper is fabric and in this case this was my objective, since I wanted to create a cardigan. See the video below to see all the steps (and also to hear my new soundtrack. Why a cardigan, you may wonder? Well, because my friend Nicolas, who is a 100% gentlemen (see the tag?), likes to wear a cardigans with a shirt underneath and the combination of colours I used (grey/brown and blue) seem to be one of his favourites too.

CARDIGAN CON ESTAMPADO CHEVRON

PaperArtsy organiza retos cada dos semanas y cuando vi el que ahora esta activo que es sobre estampados, recordé que tenía esta tarjeta por mostrar y que encaja 100% con el tema. Me encantan los estampados, los tengo en sellos, estenciles, tela, papeles y por supuesto en plantillas de embossing, que es lo que uso para esta tarjeta.

Utilizar una plantilla de embossing quizás parezca la opción más sosa de entre las disponibles, pero el resultado de aplicar esta técnica (tinta + embossing + tinta) es impactante. Parece que el papel se transforme en tela, lo cual era mi objetivo, ya que quería crear una chaqueta (cardigan). En el vídeo a continuación podéis ver todos los pasos (y por supuesto, podéis escuchar mi nueva banda sonora.Contactad a Albert en Facebook si queréis que os cree una canción propia) 🙂

Y por qué un cardigan, os preguntaréis? Bueno, pues porque a mi amigo Nicolas, quien es un caballero al 100% (de ahí el tag del bolsillo) le gusta llevarlos con una camisa debajo y en especial usa bastante frecuentemente la combinación de colores que he usado (gris/marrón y azul), una de sus favoritas aparentemente.
