Hi everyone! Today I have something special: my first video! I’ll show you a birthday card that I made for my mum! It has lots of laces and I used a technique called heat embossing. Hola a todos! Hoy tengo algo especial que enseñaros: mi primer vídeo! Os enseño cómo hacer esta postal de cumpleaños que le hice a mi mami este verano. Tiene muchos lazos y uso una técnica que se llama embossing en caliente. Ya me diréis qué os parece en la sección de comentarios de abajo 😉 Espero que os guste!

This year I decided to send a postcard by mail to my mum, for her birthday. I know she loves laces and ribbons, so I decided to make a cheerful card with laces that I bough in a market in London, they sold the laces by big rolls. She liked it a lot, although she received it a few days later… But since it got late, it was a greatersurprise since she was not expectingb it 🙂

You can click on the image below to see the video of how I made the card. It’s my first video and although I may seem serius, I was having good fun while making it. I think the result is pretty OK, don’t you think? I bet you anything that the song will get ticked to your head, if you know the song! It’s a little freaky, hehehe… some of you may recognize it 😀

The laces are in pastel colors and in order to make them pop, I decided to paint some lines below with alcohol markers in colours that combined with them. Can you see that behind the laces there is a background color that is not white?

For the Happy Birthday I drew the sentiment myself, scanned and edited with the program for the Silhouette Cameo and I cut it with the Silhouette. If you want me to send you the silhouette so that you can use it in your own cutting machine, just send me an email 😉

I did some embossing in gold here and there, even in the edges inside of the card, as you can see below:

• Letraset Promarker Permanent Marker – Autum Collection 2012 – grey squirrel
• Letraset Promarker Permanent Marker – Winter Collection 2012 – polar blue, winter berry, eggnog
• Silhouette cameo
• Adhesive 
• Scissors – Here I use Tim Holz’s but you can use any you have
• Craft patterned scissors
• Gold embossing powder
• Embossing tool
• Versamark embossing ink
• Tacky glue
• Foam adhesive
• Laces
• Cream cardstock

#1 – LOTS OF LACES BIRTHDAY CARD – AGOSTO 2015

Este año decidí enviarle una postal por correo a mi mami, por el día de su cumpleaños. Sé que le encantan los lazos, ribetes y puntillas, así que decidí hacer una tarjeta alegre con unos lazos que compré a rollos en un mercadillo un poco underground de Londres. Le gustó mucho, aunque la recibió unos cuantos días más tarde… bueno, así la sorpresa fue mayor, ya no se esperaba nada 🙂

Puedes clickar aquí para ver el vídeo de cómo la hice. Es mi primer vídeo y aunque hablo un poco seria, no ha quedado nada mal. Os apuesto lo que queráis a que se os pega la canción que he elegido! Es un poco freaky, jeje… alguno la reconocerá 😀

Los lazos o puntillas son de colores pastel y para que resaltasen un poco más decidí pintar por debajo unas líneas con rotuladores permanentes que combinasen. ¿Veis que detrás de los lazos se ve un color de fondo, que no es el blanco?

Para el Happy Birthday dibujé las letras, las escaneé y las edité con el programa de la Silhouette Cameo y las recorté con la propia Silhouette. Si queréis que os envíe la silueta para que la podáis usar en vuestra máquina de cortar, enviadme un correo 😉

Hice un poco de embossing en dorado por aquí y por allí, incluso en los laterales del interior de la tarjeta, como se puede ver aquí:
