ESC04 – Vintage Roses

I love flowers and specially, I love roses and butterflies. Additionally I love nice lettering, so when I started working on this release, I just had to combine all these ideas, look into different document sources until this came out:

PS064 – Vintage Roses stencil

For the coordinating stencil I had clear in my mind that I wanted to include a brickwork stencil which could be repeated indefinitely to create a brick wall (maybe in grunge paste) as big as you need to. Also, since I like to add postal stamps to my projects, I decided to incorporate a couple of postal frames, so I could create my own postal stamps. These 2 specifically fit the middle and the small butterflies. Finally, I wanted to add some special wording related to roses, and suddenly I created this quote out of the blue which took shape by itself and I believe it turned out very nicely at the end:

ESC05 – Forest findings

Now let me show you ESC05, which is inspired in the forest and in the things you can collect when you decide to go for a walk in the woods in Autumn. I just love mushrooms and the different fruits, seeds and leaves you can find in the forest, and I find snails are very cute, so I wanted to create a mini-collection of items that summarise that season and theme, all in a Vintage style.

PS065 – Forest stencil

The coordinating stencil reads Found in the Wild Forest, since I envisage this as a title for an Autumn project which you can add to an album cover (like in my project) or a scrapbooking page or  art journal or a postcard and having one of the mushrooms as a main focal image. I decided to add some postal details again, so you can create your own Postcard with a frame and title. I also added a honeycomb so this can be used for mixed media projects, to add texture. The word Autumn is self explanatory I guess…

ESC06 – Halloween

In Spain, Halloween was not celebrated in the past and now it’s becoming more and more popular. Since living in the UK I had the need of doing something to celebrate it, either carving a pumpkin, or arranging a scary movie viewing at home with friends, or preparing some candy for the trick or treat kids ringing my door bell. This year I think I’ll be creating some art Journaling or postcards and I’ll be definitely be using ESC06 and the related stencil:

PS066 – Halloween stencil

I can see the skeleton holding a balloon of a spider and/or a bee in a creepy scenery of leafless trees and by way of title I would use the Halloween 31st October applied with white bone-like grunge paste. Also you can add some 3D trees and bats in grunge paste. I can also see another project with the stamped pumpkin with a Jack-o’lantern face either black-inked or stencilled with black texture paste. And here you can use too the pumpkin from my previous release ESC02 (vegetables set) and the new banner of “pumpkins of all kinds”

For this night release the project that I’ve created is this binder, which I built from scratch to keep my 6 scrapcosy stamps and stencils:

I designed and created the binder base myself using grey cardboard, paper wrap, tape and glue. It fits 6 stamp sets and 6 stencils. For a full how to, see video below (may be boring, but useful if you want to know how to create this specific base for your own PaperArtsy stamps and stencils):

PAPERARTSY – NUEVOS PRODUCTOS SCRAPCOSY – JUNIO 2017

Estos son los nuevos productos, que ya están disponibles en mi tienda ETSY:

Os los muestro uno a uno y os explico:

ESC04 – Vintage Roses

Me encantan las flores y en especial las rosas y las mariposas. También me encanta la caligrafía así que cuando empecé a trabajar en este lanzamiento de productos decidí combinar estas tres ideas para crear este set de sellos, tras recuperar imágenes antiguas de distintas fuentes y documentos:

PS064 – Vintage Roses stencil

Para el estencil a juego tenía muy claro que quería incluir unos ladrillos desgastados con los que ser capaz de crear una pared infinita (la parte de la izquierda encaja con la derecha) y quizás usar en ellos Grunge Paste para que los ladrillos parezcan más realistas. Por otro lado, me encanta incorporar sellos de correos en mis proyectos, así que decidí incluir un par de marcos que me permitiesen crear mis propios sellos postales. Estos están específicamente creados para enmarcar las mariposas mediana y pequeña del set ESC04. Para acabar quería crear unas palabras bonitas y especiales sobre rosas y de repente se me ocurrió esta frase que acabó tomando esta forma casi por si sola. Creo que al final quedó bastante chula 🙂

ESC05 – Forest findings

Ahora os quiero mostrar ESC05, el cual esta inspirado en el bosque y en las cosas que puedes encontrar en el al dar un paseo en otoño. Me encantan las setas y las distintas semillas y horas que puedes recoger en estas excursiones y los caracoles me parecen tan monos, que decidí crear una mini-colección de elementos que resumen esta época y todo en estilo Vintage.

PS064 – Forest stencil

En el estencil a juego se puede leer “encontrado en el bosque salvaje”, que diseñé de cara a usarlo en un título (como en el álbum que os enseñaré después), o para una página de scrap otoñal o para hacer art journals o para una tarjeta en la que el protagonista es una seta que por lo tanto ha sido encontrada en el bosque. Para el estencil decidí de nuevo incluir detalles postales, como el marco de líneas discontinuas y el título PostCard para que cada uno pueda hacer su postal. También añadí un panal de abeja para que se pueda usar en proyectos de mixed media, para añadir textura. Finalmente la palabra Autumn (otoño) siempre va a ser útil para esta estación.

ESC06 – Halloween

En España no se celebraba Halloween, pero cada vez se está volviendo más popular. Yo desde que vivo en Londres, llega esta época y tengo la necesidad de hacer algo para celebrarlo, ya sea comprar una calabaza y esculpirla, invitar a amigos a ver una peli de miedo o ambientada en Halloween o preparar caramelos por si llaman los niños a la puerta anunciando su “trick or treat”. Este año creo que además crearé una página de Art Journal o alguna postal y definitivamente utilizaré el set ESC06 y el estencil a juego:

Veo al esqueleto sujetando un globo de araña y otro de la abeja, situado en una escena un poco espeluznante, con los árboles sin hojas (tanto el del sello como el del estencil) con murciélagos y con el títulos del estencil en blanco (hueso) sobre un fondo negro o nocturno. También imagino otro proyecto en el que incluir la calabaza con la cara del estencil en negro la cual también se puede usar en el sello de calabaza que saqué en febrero en el set ESC02 (el set de vegetales) y añadir el banner que pone “pumpkins of all kinds” (calabazas de todo tipo)

Pero por ahora, el proyecto que he creado con estos sellos es este, un archivador que he creado de cero para guardar mis 6 estenciles y 6 sellos que he sacado hasta la fecha con PaperArtsy:

Diseñé y creé la base del archivador de cero, utilizando un cartón de estos que son grises comprimidos, corté tres partes (dos tapas y espina) y las junté con cinta de carrocero, dejando un margen para que hiciese de visagra y luego lo forré todo con papel de embalar.
